No matter what time of year it is, it’s always someone’s wedding anniversary. But it’s undeniable that some months are more popular for weddings than others. This all, of course, means that more people are celebrating their anniversaries in the next month or so than at any other time of year. First Anniversary
Traditionally, carnations are the flowers associated with the first wedding anniversary, as they are supposed to represent the passion on young love. Milestone Anniversaries
There is a traditional flower gift for each anniversary until the 15th and then every five years until 30 and then every 10 years until 50. For example: cosmos for the second anniversary, sunflowers for the third, daffodil for the 10th, Iris for the 25th, yellow roses and violets for the 50th, etc. If you don’t have a better idea for a gift, you can simply follow tradition and make your spouse happy anyway.
Other Anniversaries
After the first 15 years of marriage, you won’t have a traditional flower or floral arrangement to choose from and will have to come up with something on your own. Perhaps you could choose one that suits the season you got married. Maybe your spouse has a favorite type of flower or one that is very special to them that you could give them.
